See your match score & applyThe Programme Management Assistant supports the coordination of CMS projects and programmes, assists in planning and organizing meetings, provides general Secretariat office support, and handles data-related responsibilities. This part-time position is located at the CMS Secretariat in Bonn, Germany, under the United Nations Environment Programme.
Responsibilities
- Assists in the coordination of CMS projects and programmes including project planning, monitoring, grants processing, reviewing project documents, and administrative coordination of programme/project implementation activities.
- Processes procurement of goods and services up to 10,000 USD and prepares payment of invoices.
- Compiles, summarizes and enters data on projects; drafts related status reports and identifies shortfalls and budget overruns.
- Assists in the planning, operational organization and logistics of CMS Secretariat meetings including travel and logistics arrangements, managing registrations, supporting translation and document preparation, and supporting participants during meetings.
- Provides general Secretariat office support including managing correspondence, drafting invitations and reports, responding to information requests, maintaining contacts and records, and providing guidance to new staff.
- Assists with data collection, analysis, preparation of data presentations and reports, updating information materials such as web pages or brochures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Supplementary training in Administration or related area is desirable.
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience supporting programme or project coordination, general administration or related area is required.
- The minimum years of relevant experience is reduced to three (3) years for candidates who possess a first level university degree or higher.
- Experience working with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system such as SAP is required.
- At least two (2) years of experience working in the secretariat of a multilateral environmental agreement is desirable.
- Experience working within the United Nations common system or similar international organization is desirable.
- Experience in successfully organizing and coordinating meetings with different stakeholders is desirable.
- One (1) year or more of experience in data analytics or related area is desirable.
- English is required at UN Level II for reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
- Either French or Spanish is desirable at UN Level I for reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
