Under the direct supervision of the Social Policy Specialist (P3, HOPE Focal Point) within the Social Policy Section, the officer contributes to the daily operational coordination of cash transfer activities. Responsibilities include managing technical relationships with data collection and processing partners, conducting data quality assurance activities, performing financial analyses for monitoring the use of grants and funds for cash transfers, and closely following up with partners on complaints and payment verification to beneficiaries.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct data quality assurance activities for collected data.
  • Perform financial analyses to monitor the appropriate use of grants and funds allocated for cash transfers.
  • Closely follow up with partners regarding complaint tracking and payment verification to beneficiaries.

Requirements

  • University degree in social sciences, statistics, financial management, humanitarian project management, or any other relevant field related to social programs, cash transfers, or operational and financial management.
  • At least one (1) year of relevant professional experience in social policy, beneficiary data management, cash transfer program monitoring, case management, or a related field.
  • Basic database management skills.
  • Cash transfer management skills.
  • Financial flow management and analysis skills.
  • Fluency in French is essential.
  • English proficiency is an asset.
  • Knowledge of another UN official language (Arabic, Chinese, Spanish, or Russian) or a local language (Creole) is desirable.
  • Relevant experience in financial and/or operational management is an asset.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a multicultural and gender-sensitive environment.
  • Relevant country-level experience, particularly in development, fragile, and humanitarian contexts.
