See your match score & applyThe Migration Health Physician will ensure the efficient daily operations of the Migration Health Assessment Center in Dushanbe, coordinating and conducting migration health assessments, managing TB and STI cases, overseeing immunization and treatment programs, and maintaining quality control and data management. The role involves collaboration with partners and support for pre-departure and medical escort activities.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the efficient daily operations of the Migration Health Assessment Center (MHAC) in coordination with the Chief Migration Health Officer
- Coordinate and conduct migration health assessments including medical examinations, imaging, laboratory testing, vaccinations, TB management, treatment and referrals, pre-departure procedures, documentation and certification
- Ensure proper identification of refugees and migrants and accurate recording of health information
- Oversee and coordinate management of TB cases and sexually transmitted infections and support HIV, TB and STI counselling activities
- Oversee immunization and presumptive treatment programmes in compliance with technical guidelines
- Contribute to and maintain quality improvement systems and conduct quality control activities
- Use data analysis and web reporting to monitor performance indicators and ensure implementation of SOPs
- Organize collection, processing and analysis of migration health data and ensure data quality
- Ensure data entry into Migrant Management Operational System Application (MiMOSA) and related databases
- Oversee financial aspects including budget preparation and review financial reports
- Coordinate procurement of medical equipment, vaccines, medications and supplies
- Prepare administrative reports and program updates
- Support planning and execution of mobile missions and pre-departure activities
- Perform medical escort duties as required
- Maintain collaborative relationships with partners including IOM departments, health providers, embassies, UN agencies and NGOs
- Collect and share statistical information with CMHO
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- University degree in Medicine from an accredited academic institution with at least four years of professional work experience
- Valid license to practice in Tajikistan is mandatory
- Professional continuous clinical experience, preferably in a multidisciplinary hospital setting
- The last clinical posting should be within the last three years
- Good knowledge of clinical medicine
- Excellent bedside manner
- Knowledge of patient safety and infection prevention and control
- Organizational skills

- Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- Fluency in English, Tajik and Russian (oral and written)
- Working level of Farsi/Dari/Pashto and other regional languages is desirable
