See your match score & applyThe Psychologist will provide psychosocial support services in compliance with SCI guidelines to support the Egypt Response program. Responsibilities include conducting individual and group sessions for unaccompanied and separated children (UASC) and children at risk, conducting assessments, organizing awareness sessions, and referring cases with acute psychological needs to specialized services.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group psychosocial support sessions for UASC and children at risk and youth.
- Conduct assessments and customize session topics based on identified needs.
- Organize group support and awareness sessions for children and families.
- Refer severe cases to appropriate psychological/psychiatric service providers.
- Prepare and submit individual case reports and document case progress.
- Attend supervision meetings with MHPSS Technical Advisor or Officer.
- Ensure psychological interventions are evidence-based and adhere to highest standards.
- Collaborate with MEAL team to administer psychometric assessments and deliver reports.
- Assist in material development and training deliveries on identified needs.
- Ensure accurate monitoring, evaluation, and indicator tracking for MHPSS component.
- Support administrative and logistics work related to MHPSS operations.
- Draft reports, case studies, and other documents as needed.
- Promote children's rights and protection in emergencies.
- Support SCI interventions in emergencies with flexibility.
- Comply with Save the Children policies including safeguarding, code of conduct, health and safety.
Requirements
- A university degree in psychology.
- 2-3 years of experience in family and/or child counselling.
- Experience in working with migrants and refugees is an asset.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills including team-leading and influencing.
- Extensive experience in delivering trainings.
- Experience in providing MHPSS services to children, adolescents and youth is an asset.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in Arabic and English are required.
- Comfortable with high levels of ambiguity and able to take decisions independently in a fluid context.
- Experience with refugee/marginalized communities is desired.
