Capacity Building Coordinator

The Capacity Building Coordinator leads the assessment, design, implementation, and monitoring of capacity development initiatives for local NGOs and governmental health entities in Aswan. The role focuses on building skills, strengthening systems, and ensuring high-quality, inclusive, and gender-sensitive health services to refugees, migrants, and host communities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct governmental and NGO health service provider scoping in Aswan in coordination with partnership lead and health officer.
• Organize and participate in institutional and technical assessment process of partners/providers.
• Develop and update capacity-strengthening plan for selected partners/providers.
• Coordinate with partnership department to roll out partnership and localization strategies in Aswan governorate.
• Ensure application of partners governance TOR.
• Design capacity strengthening interventions including workshops, cross visits, coaching.
• Facilitate capacity-building sessions, both in-person and virtual.
• Develop and implement infrastructure development and equipment provision plan.
• Support development of SOPs and service guidelines for health interventions for NGO partners.
• Participate in designing external consultant TORs.
• Monitor training to ensure alignment with objectives and outcomes.
• Facilitate joint initiatives and networking between local NGOs and governmental entities.
• Develop M&E frameworks to track effectiveness of capacity-strengthening interventions.
• Apply partners monitoring tool regularly.
• Ensure regular quarterly meetings with partners.
• Collect and analyze feedback from NGO/providers to refine training content and methodologies.
• Modify capacity strengthening interventions based on feedback.
• Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment of interventions with project outcomes.
• Cooperate with health team to ensure synergy between partners’ capabilities.
• Monitor NGO staff performance and provide technical support.
• Maintain accurate records of capacity strengthening and reports.
• Prepare regular reports on project progress, challenges, and outcomes.
• Regular reporting to the Health Officer.
• Ensure partner NGO implements activities as planned with high quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in medicine or related medical field.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience in capacity-building roles to NGO or civil society organization, preferably in health or humanitarian settings.
• Highly developed interpersonal, coordination and communication skills.
• Fluency in Arabic (spoken and written) and good knowledge of English.
• Good report writing skills.
• Commitment to Save the Children’s values and Child Safeguarding.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and work ethic.
• Previous experience in supervising NGO operated clinics/hospitals (desirable).
