The External Collaborator Field Officer will support the implementation of the CORE Project in cocoa-farming communities in Aceh, Central and Southeast Sulawesi. The role involves preparation, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of activities aimed at empowering communities economically and socially, with a focus on women and youth leadership and child protection.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare activities including coordination with district level government, prospective participants, invitations, venue preparation, ToR development if needed, and ordering meal packages.
  • Implement activities with partners, document activities (photos and brief reports), prepare FRM & input data including beneficiaries, prepare activity absences, fill out Kobo forms.
  • Ensure VSLA groups are mentored and progress on VLSA, Business & Community Action Plan is updated including QB monitoring.
  • Conduct regular monitoring through routine communication with VSLA and Business groups, Community action plan, local champions, village government, farmers & women groups, children & youth, and other stakeholders via informal meetings and field visits.
  • Submit monthly activity reports including minutes of meetings, photos, supporting documents related to financial reports, and updates in Kobo by the 25th of each month.
  • Submit timesheets.

Requirements

  • Domiciled in the program area, Aceh, Central & Southeast Sulawesi and speaking the local language.
  • No track record of committing violence against children.
  • Minimum education: S1 graduate from agriculture, social or relevant fields.
  • Minimum 2 years of community assistance experience.
  • Age 25-40 years old.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel frequently to field locations.
  • Commitment to and understanding of Save the Children’s aims, values and principles, including rights-based approaches.
  • Have good facilitation skills in the community.
  • Computer literate (MS Office, PowerPoint, and Excel are a must).
  • Have a personal vehicle and a valid driving license.
  • Compensation not under contract with other agencies.
