The Financial Reporting Analyst supports the fiduciary administration of the ARCAFIM Programme under the Financial Controller's Division. The role involves supporting risk sharing mechanism tracking, financial reporting, compliance with donor requirements, and coordination with partners such as Equity Bank and IFAD divisions.
Responsibilities
- Support design and implementation of risk sharing mechanism tracking, reports, and accounting entries.
- Ensure risk sharing transactions and accounting entries are reflected in IFAD corporate systems such as PeopleSoft GL and Flexcube.
- Prepare regular risk sharing mechanism reports for donors and internal stakeholders.
- Review Equity Bank's chart of accounts relevant to ARCAFIM and financial reports to ensure compliance with IFAD and donor requirements.
- Support Equity Bank in understanding and preparing semi-annual and annual financial reports for donors in collaboration with Procurement and Financial Management Division.
- Adjust financial reports to meet different donor requirements.
- Liaise with Procurement and Financial Management Division and Equity Bank for timely production of unaudited and audited annual financial reports.
- Prepare sections of semi-annual financial reports on contributions, investment income, fees, reflows, IFAD direct costs, among others.
- Prepare Requests for Disbursements to donors and notices of payments for reflows.
- Develop and update ARCAFIM Accounting Manual and Operational Manual for Equity Bank.
- Support EC verifications, GCF checks, and respond to auditors and donor enquiries.
- Prepare ad-hoc reports for donors and IFAD stakeholders.
- Liaise with Programme Operations and Budget for monitoring and reporting of management fees.
- Participate in Supervision Missions to Equity Bank if required.
- Perform other duties related to climate and environmental finance.
Requirements
- Advanced university degree from an accredited institution in Business Administration, Finance, Banking or other relevant areas.
- Degree must be from an accredited institution listed on https://www.whed.net/home.php.
- At least two (2) years' progressively relevant international professional experience in private or public sector financial management in rural development programmes including accounting, auditing, finance, economics, financial analysis, business administration and project administration.
- Perfect mastery of fiduciary management procedures, specifically internal control and audit, procurement, request for withdrawal of funds and budget monitoring.
- Proven experience in reviewing project financial reports.
- Knowledge of computer tools and software including Flexcube, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Experience with an international financial institution, audit firm, NGO with global outreach or other relevant institution is an asset.
- Required proficiency in English at level 4 (Excellent).
