See your match score & applyThe RMNCH Officer leads field level implementation of Reproductive, Maternal, New-born and Child Health activities ensuring quality service delivery through integrated Health Facilities. The role involves coordination with government and NGOs, supervision, capacity building, data collection, and reporting to support RMNCH and IYCF activities.
Responsibilities
- Lead field level implementation of RMNCH activities and ensure quality RMNCH service delivery through integrated Health Facilities.
- Coordinate RMNCH and IYCF activities with relevant Government Directorates, BPHS and INGO/NGOs at provincial level.
- Regularly attend the RMNCH committee meeting at provincial level and adjust activities accordingly.
- Undertake regular supportive supervision to project sites and provide on the Job coaching and training for Health Facilities staff.
- Conduct need assessment and organize capacity building plans for RMNCH and IYCF-E staff.
- Collect RMNCH data for analysis and submission to Project coordinator and PPHD/MoPH on timely bases.
- Identify and report any medical or administrative problems interfering with programme objectives.
- Meet regularly with beneficiary communities and leaders to ensure project effectiveness and community involvement.
- Facilitate RMNCH training to project staff.
- Work closely with Save the Children program teams to develop materials on child rights, protection, health education, and environmental protection.
- Perform any other tasks relevant to the scope of work as assigned by the line manager.
- Ensure beneficiaries receive ongoing information about Save the Children’s Child Safeguarding Policy and Code of Conduct.
- Report any Child Safeguard and/or PSEA cases if encountered.
Requirements
- Medical Degree (MD)
- Graduated from recognized medical faculty with two years of experience in health and nutrition project management.
- Medical Diploma (MD) with previous experience of working in the RMNCH and IYCF projects at least for 2 years
- Familiarity with HMIS/Nutrition online databases of MoPH will be an asset
- Good knowledge and experience of Project Management skill including basic administration and management.
- Good knowledge and experience of Health and nutrition training delivery.
- A thorough understanding of project cycle management, especially M&E processes, and reporting
- Efficiency, result-oriented and excellent management and training capabilities (desirable)
- Capacity to perform effectively under pressure and harsh conditions; ability to handle confidential and politically sensitive issues in a responsible and mature manner (desirable)
- Excellent capacity development and teamwork skills; cross-cultural and gender sensitivity (desirable)
