See your match score & applyThe Environmental Governance and Finance Coordination Assistant supports the Ministry of Spatial Planning, Construction and Ecology of Republika Srpska and UNDP in coordinating and following up on CBIT 2 project activities. The role includes administrative, operational, and basic analytical support related to environmental governance, institutional coordination, financial tracking, and preparation of project documents and reports.
Responsibilities
- Provide assistance in support of governance, policy and regulatory follow-up including collecting, organizing and reviewing environmental and climate-related documents and preparing summaries and background notes.
- Support inter-institutional coordination and implementation follow-up including maintaining communication between UNDP, the Ministry, consultants and stakeholders, organizing meetings and workshops, and updating coordination tools.
- Support project implementation, financial tracking and knowledge exchange including preparation of workplans, financial tracking tables, progress updates, reports, presentations, and maintaining project records.
- Submit monthly progress updates to the Project Manager and perform other duties as required for successful project implementation.
Requirements
- Secondary education is required
- University degree (Bachelor’s degree) in Economics, Law, Public Administration, Environmental Studies, Education, Social Sciences or similar field will be considered an asset, but is not a requirement.
- Minimum 5 years (with Secondary education) or 2 years (with Bachelor’s degree) of administrative or project support experience at the national or international level
- Experience in the use of computers and office software packages, including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience in collecting, organizing and maintaining project documentation, records, correspondence, contact lists, meeting notes, reports and implementation tracking tools.
- Experience in supporting organization of meetings, workshops, consultations, trainings or similar project events.
- Experience in communication and coordination with institutions, consultants, project partners or other stakeholders.
- Experience in administrative, coordination, operational or financial support to implementation of donor-funded or development projects is desired.
- Experience in handling data, indicators, simple analysis, implementation trackers, databases or monitoring information will be considered an asset.
- Experience in environment, climate change, environmental governance, climate transparency, MRV/MRVA, GHG inventory, NDC tracking, EIS or related public-sector processes will be considered an asset.
- Previous experience with UNDP, GEF, GCF, World Bank, KfW or other international development projects will be considered an asset.
- Fluency in English and in the official languages of Bosnia and Herzegovina is required, with good writing, editing and communication skills
