The Salesforce Solution Architect serves as a technical leader responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing Salesforce solutions supporting Biomedical Services. The role involves strategic architectural leadership, hands-on technical guidance, and collaboration with business and technology teams to ensure scalable, secure, and efficient Salesforce solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead architecture and optimization of Salesforce solutions across Biomedical services products
  • Establish reusable design patterns, coding standards, architectural guardrails, and conduct technical quality reviews
  • Partner with solution, integration, and cross-functional teams to develop scalable end-to-end solutions and ensure seamless integration
  • Establish and control technical definitions, rules, principles, and standards
  • Assess, review, and make decisions on all solution architecture designs
  • Deliver presentations, architectural blueprint documents, environment management plans, and development policies
  • Participate in requirements-gathering workshops to influence strategic project direction and lead business through solution design
  • Partner with Product Managers, Business Stakeholders, and analysts to translate requirements into Salesforce solutions
  • Own architecture documentation including solution blueprints, integration designs, architecture decision records, and technical standards
  • Translate business capabilities into scalable technical architectures and provide implementation guidance
  • Develop proofs of concept and reference implementations to validate architectural approaches
  • Provide selective hands-on technical involvement to validate architecture and solve complex design challenges
  • Evaluate emerging technologies including AI and Salesforce platform innovations to enhance business capabilities
  • Provide thought leadership in applying technology to transform service delivery
  • Stay current with Salesforce releases, features, and best practices and recommend improvements
  • Drive architectural decisions across multiple teams and present to senior leadership
  • Mentor senior developers and technical leads through architecture reviews, coaching, and knowledge sharing
  • Design solutions with operational monitoring, observability, logging, and production support considerations

Requirements

  • 4-year college degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in Salesforce development and architecture
  • Expert level understanding of the Salesforce product Suite
  • Deep expertise in Salesforce architecture and code development for Sales, Service and Experience cloud
  • Strong prior development/Salesforce coding experience to advise on code refactoring and design patterns
  • Experience designing and delivering end-to-end Salesforce solutions for large, complex implementations
  • Experience leading solutions design sessions and suggesting best practices
  • Strong hands-on experience in Salesforce development and configuration including Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flow, APIs, platform events, batch processing, and integrations
  • Ability to define system landscape and identify gaps between current and desired future state
  • Understanding of Salesforce architecture and ability to design scalable solutions using industry best practices
  • Familiarity with platform authentication patterns such as SAML, SSO, OAuth
  • Strong understanding and experience with Salesforce environment management, release management, deployment tools, code versioning best practices and deployment methodologies
  • Understanding of data sharing and visibility considerations in platform architecture
  • Strong analytical thinking and communication skills to learn complex business domains and drive alignment
  • Salesforce Certified Application Architect or Salesforce Certified System Architect certification required
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Preferred: Strong experience integrating Salesforce with external systems including MuleSoft
  • Preferred: Experience with Data 360 and Agentforce
  • Preferred: Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA) certification
  • Preferred: Strong experience in Agile delivery environments, SAFe experience a plus
  • Preferred: Knowledge of AppExchange products such as Appinium and Skedulo
  • Preferred: Other certifications including Salesforce Administrator, Salesforce Sales/Service Cloud Consultant, Salesforce Experience Cloud Consultant, B2B Solution Architect, Salesforce Certified Agentforce Specialist, Salesforce Certified Data 360 Consultant
