The intern will support the Asian and Pacific Centre for Transfer of Technology (APCTT) in implementing its substantive work programme, focusing on communication strategies and knowledge product delivery related to climate technologies, renewable energy, AI, and sustainable development. The internship offers exposure to regional cooperation, UN mandates, and policy advice for SDGs achievement.
Responsibilities
- Support implementation of APCTT's substantive work programme related to transfer of technologies and sustainable development.
- Design and produce communication materials including event flyers, posters, factsheets, infographics and social media visuals using tools such as Canva and Adobe Suite.
- Draft and edit content for APCTT's website, newsletter and social media channels (LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Instagram).
- Produce short promotional video clips, event highlights and multimedia content.
- Prepare PowerPoint presentations and briefing documents for events and meetings.
- Develop ideas to improve and make the technology database on the APCTT website more interactive and real-time.
- Support the organisation of Hackathons, capacity-building events and conferences, including administrative and conference management tasks.
- Support knowledge management functions of the organisation.
- Assist in outreach and visibility activities related to regional forums and meetings.
- Other activities as may be decided by the supervisor.
Requirements
- Have completed a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher) in Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, Climate Change, Environment, Innovation, Sustainable Development, International Relations related to science and technology, or any other related area; or have graduated with a university degree as defined above and, if selected, must commence the internship within a one-year period of graduation.
- Good understanding of climate technologies, sustainable development and/or science & technology topics.
- Experience in web-based research and digital content creation.
- Excellent written communication and networking skills.
- Proficiency in standard software applications (MS Office, Canva, AI tools) and familiarity with social media platforms.
- Fluency in spoken and written English is required for the internship.
