The EAGLE Project Associate supports the implementation and monitoring of the EAGLE project activities aimed at creating a skills mobility partnership between Austria and Egypt. The role involves administrative coordination, budget monitoring, reporting, organizing events, and liaising with various stakeholders to facilitate project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation and monitoring of project activities.
- Retrieve, compile, summarize, and present information/data on specific project topics.
- Monitor budget; verify availability of funds; obtain necessary approval and update budget related information.
- Support administrative coordination of project implementation, involving liaison with diverse organizational units and external parties to initiate requests, obtain necessary clearances, process and follow-up on administrative actions, etc.
- Draft status reports, identifying shortfalls in delivery and bringing them to the attention of the supervisor.
- Draft correspondence, reports, briefing notes, graphics, statistical tables, presentations and other forms of documentation.
- Organize meetings, workshops and training sessions.
- Respond to general information requests and inquiries; set up and maintain files/records.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- School diploma with four years of relevant experience; or Bachelor's degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution with two years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience in the field of labour migration, education and training, public-private partnerships, and/or integration of migrants are an asset.
- Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organizations is an asset.
- Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.
- Proven project management skills are an asset (e.g. monitoring, reporting, financial controlling).
- Moderation and presentation skills, including in a digital setting, are an asset.
- Research and publication skills are an asset.
- Knowledge of the Austrian, Egyptian, and/or European migration landscapes, policies, institutions and stakeholders is an asset.
- Fluency in German and English is required (oral and written).
- Working knowledge of Arabic is desired.
- All IOM staff members in all categories are required to be fluent in one of the IOM's official languages (English, French, Spanish).
- Proficiency of language(s) required will be specifically evaluated during the selection process, which may include written and/or oral assessments.
