The People and Culture Officer supports the Chief People and Culture by executing HR services, applying theoretical HR models, and understanding organizational HR policies and procedures. The role involves business partnering, strategic human resources, implementation of HR services, learning and capacity development, and HR data analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the Chief People and Culture through executing HR services.
  • Apply knowledge of theoretical HR models and organizational HR policies and procedures.
  • Engage in business partnering activities.
  • Support strategic human resources initiatives.
  • Assist in the implementation of assigned human resources services.
  • Contribute to learning and capacity development.
  • Perform HR data analytics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor or equivalent (First Level University Degree) in human resource management, business management, international relations, psychology and any other related fields.
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience in human resource management in an international organization and/or large corporation is required.
  • Active listening, planning, organizational and communication skills, the ability to influence, and emotional intelligence are required.
  • Proficient/Fluent level of French and Intermediate level of English are required.
  • Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
  • Experience in innovation, change management, organizational culture, wellbeing, employee engagement campaigns and digital literacy is desired.
  • Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts is an asset.
