The internship offers practical experience in knowledge management, monitoring and coordination of complex education programs, contributing to the transformation efforts of the education sector in Benin. The intern will support planning, monitoring, coordination, information management, and documentation of the WEZIZA EDUC program aimed at improving access, quality, retention, and equity in education.
Responsibilities
- Support planning, monitoring of activities and management of program interventions: contribute to organizing and tracking priorities and deadlines, update monitoring tools.
- Support project coordination with various stakeholders: assist coordination between implementing structures, prepare meetings, write minutes, and follow up on recommendations and action plans.
- Support information management and program documentation: participate in producing monitoring reports and capitalization to ensure good documentation of activities, results, and learnings.
Requirements
- Be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program, or be a recent graduate (less than 2 years) in social sciences, sociology, political science, or communication.
- Fluency in French with practical knowledge of another language.
- Good academic results demonstrated by recent university records or a reference letter from an academic supervisor if records are unavailable.
- No immediate family member (e.g., father, mother, brother, sister) working in a UNICEF office.
- No other relative in the line of authority to whom the intern will report.
- Not disqualified under UNICEF Child Protection Staff Standards (DHR/STANDARDS/2019/001) or as amended.
- Demonstrate UNICEF core values: Care, Respect, Integrity, Trust, Accountability, and Sustainability (CRITAS).
