Project Management Support - Associate

The position supports the management of the Coordinated Action Plan (PAR) under the UNOPS Technical Cooperation Project No. 24330, aimed at strengthening the management of educational infrastructure for traditional communities in Brazil. The role involves working remotely from Brazil, supporting technical assistance to federal entities, and contributing to the completion of unfinished school construction projects for indigenous and quilombola communities.

Responsibilities

• Support the diagnosis of PAR processes, risk assessment mechanisms, and strategic roadmaps for negotiation to enable swift and high-quality negotiation of new agreements with federal entities.
• Contribute to the improvement of technical assistance models and agreements to better support federal entities and reduce the number of stalled projects.
• Assist in the internalization by FNDE of methodologies and tools necessary for planning, monitoring, execution, and ex-post evaluation of future projects.
• Support the management of Health, Safety, Security, Environment and Social Development (HSSE) aspects related to the social impact of school construction projects in indigenous and quilombola communities.

Requirements

• It is necessary that the hired person has the possibility to work from home, in Brazil, with an adequate environment, their own laptop, suitable software, and internet connection.
• It is necessary that the hired person has availability to participate in meetings during business hours.
• It is necessary to have availability for travel; UNOPS will cover costs, in accordance with the procedures and rules in force.
