Senior National Education Consultant – School Management and Early Warning System (EWS) Pilot

The consultant will support the design, piloting, and implementation of an integrated School Management and Early Warning System (EWS) model for primary education in Sahrawi refugee camps. The role involves serving as the primary field-based partner to the Senior International Consultant, ensuring strong linkage between technical design and school-level implementation, and providing contextual expertise, coordination, and facilitation support.

Responsibilities

• Support the design of an integrated School Management and Early Warning System (EWS) model for primary education in Sahrawi refugee camps
• Pilot and implement the EWS model in the field
• Serve as the primary field-based partner to the Senior International Consultant
• Ensure strong linkage between technical design and school-level implementation
• Provide contextual expertise on the Sahrawi refugee education environment
• Coordinate and facilitate activities across all phases of the assignment

Requirements

• Masters degree in Education, Social Sciences, Sociology of Education or related field
• Minimum 5 years in education sector
• Experience working at school level
• Experience in training facilitation and field coordination
• Knowledge of school management and education systems
• Experience in data collection and field research
• Stakeholder coordination skills
• Knowledge of Sahrawi refugee context
• Fluency in Arabic (required)
• Strong working English (required)
• Hassaniya (desirable)
• French or Spanish (desirable)
• Experience in Early Warning System (EWS) or dropout prevention (desirable)
• Familiarity with data tools such as Excel and Kobo (desirable)
