The Programme Associate supports the Programme Team in the development and implementation of effective programmes consistent with UN Women rules and regulations. Responsibilities include research, financial management, programme implementation, and providing operational, administrative, and programmatic support.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and logistical support to the formulation and management of programmes including preparation of work plans, budgets, and proposals.
  • Provide technical guidance on routine delivery and reporting of programme activities and finances.
  • Prepare information for audits and support implementation of audit recommendations.
  • Review programme data for the CO website and compile data for documents, guidelines, speeches, and position papers.
  • Provide administrative support to financial management including creating projects in Quantum system, budget revisions, monitoring finances, preparing financial reports, processing payments, and maintaining expenditure control.
  • Undertake logistical, administrative and financial arrangements for meetings, workshops, events, and missions.
  • Make travel arrangements and prepare public information materials and presentations.
  • Provide guidance and training to Programme Assistants as needed.
  • Support resource mobilization efforts including preparing agreements and following up on contributions.
  • Facilitate knowledge building and sharing including synthesis of lessons learnt and organizing training.
  • Perform other duties as necessary for efficient functioning of the Office and Organization.

Requirements

  • Completion of secondary education is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or public administration is desirable.
  • At least 7 years of progressively responsible experience in administration or programme management/support is required.
  • Experience in working in a computer environment using multiple office software packages is required.
  • Experience in supporting a team is required.
  • Experience in the use of a modern web-based ERP System, preferably Oracle Cloud, is desirable.
  • Fluency in French and Haitian Créole is required.
  • Fluency in English is desirable.
