The Project Manager (National Trainer and Supervisor) will co-design and implement a Training of Trainers (ToT) on the MAMI approach and use of family MUAC tapes, adapted to Ministry of Health systems. The role includes supporting health care providers and community health agents, ensuring quality implementation, and contributing to operational learning for the National Implementation Guide. The position involves collaboration with partners and strategic project management in Cabo Delgado, Mozambique.

Responsibilities

  • Co-design and implement a Training of Trainers (ToT) on the MAMI approach and use of family MUAC tapes adapted to Ministry of Health systems.
  • Provide regular supportive supervision to reinforce quality of service implementation.
  • Support health care providers and community health agents in applying standardized protocols.
  • Contribute to operational learning to improve and finalize the National Implementation Guide.
  • Expand family-based screening, improve early detection, and establish a clear framework for managing at-risk infants under six months and their mothers at all health care entry points.
  • Ensure effective collaboration with partners based on equality, transparency, accountability and complementarity at provincial and district levels.
  • Ensure excellence in project management, strategic planning and representation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or other health-related field or Master's degree in Public Health.
  • Minimum of five (05) years of experience in nutrition and health, preferably in Mozambique.
  • Experience in programs and implementation of Community Management of Acute Malnutrition (CMAM) and Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF).
  • Experience in Training of Trainers for health providers.
  • Proven ability to phase large-scale responses.
  • Proven ability in scale-up, providing technical contributions and team capacity development.
  • Experience in coordination and advocacy (internal and external).
  • Good communication skills.
  • Fluency in Portuguese and English.
  • Desirable: Ensure additional quality standards to support high-quality implementation according to capacity, competencies and knowledge, acting as a program excellence ambassador within Save the Children.
