The consultant will review, analyze, coordinate, generate evidence, review and engage with stakeholders to ensure the rewriting of the existing R991 Regulations related to child nutrition. The role requires technical expertise in child nutrition and policy development, with a focus on regulatory development in the health sector.

Responsibilities

  • Review, analyze, coordinate, generate evidence, review and engage with stakeholders to ensure the rewriting of the existing R991 Regulations related to child nutrition.

Requirements

  • Bachelor in Public health, nutrition, Medicine, other related disciplines
  • A minimum of five to ten years’ experience in health and child nutrition.
  • Experience in working in the regulatory development environment in the health sector.
  • Strong command of English – both written and spoken
  • Proven track record of technical expertise on child nutrition and policy development.
  • Analytical skills of existing evidence.
  • Technical skills on development and writing of regulations.
  • Understanding of the World Health Assembly (WHA) Resolutions on child nutrition, Codex Alimentarius standards and other international guidelines on the Code and child nutrition.
  • A good track record in working with the government and other partners on child nutrition.
  • Relevant experience working in the UN or other international development organization is an asset
