The People & Culture Partner, Global Headquarters, provides strategic HR partnering to executives and staff at IRC's global headquarters. This role supports departments including Finance, Office of General Counsel, Ethics & Compliance, and Research & Innovation, focusing on HR strategy, employee relations, and organizational development.

Responsibilities

  • Model, promote and uphold a culture of values as reflected in The IRC Way: Standards for Professional Conduct - Integrity, Service, Accountability and Equality
  • Provide effective client service to all staff on performance management, learning and development, compensation, benefits, promotions, changes in status and general HR issues
  • Coach management team on complex leadership and HR issues including people implications of organizational decisions, workforce planning and talent development
  • Support development and implementation of select HR solutions that align with IRC’s people strategy
  • Provide regular guidance and respond to general HR policy and process questions from HQ staff and conduct analysis on and timely approvals for needs such as new job postings, promotions, separations, etc.
  • Lead intake, make recommendations, and support resolution of sensitive employee relations matters; conduct workplace investigations if/as needed
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management and HR compliance issues
  • Participate as an active team member, stay abreast of trends, and demonstrate this insight by identifying and pitching appropriate HR strategies and solutions
  • Provide direction and advice on organizational design, development and implementation efforts
  • Work collaboratively with HR colleagues to ensure consistent standards across the network
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field
  • Minimum of 6 - 8 years related HR work experience
  • Strong working knowledge of and experience in multiple human resource disciplines including employee relations, labor law, performance management, learning & development, change management, organizational development, and compensation/benefits
  • Ability to effectively work with a multi-site client group, using excellent diplomatic and influencing skills, particularly in building strong relationships with leaders at all levels
  • Demonstrated AI literacy across the HR landscape, with the ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives that translate emerging trends into measurable people outcomes
  • Proven problem solving and customer service skills: the ability to successfully provide support to staff and guide managers through excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Consulting and coaching experience across a large client group of 250+ employees preferred
  • Experience working in an international, multi-cultural and/or non-profit organization preferred
  • Ability to travel occasionally
  • HR certification (e.g. PHR/SPHR) a plus
