Senior Durable Solutions Assistant

The Senior Durable Solutions Assistant supports the implementation of durable solutions strategies for refugees and persons of concern. The role involves counselling, interviewing candidates for voluntary repatriation, local integration, and resettlement, as well as managing related documentation and databases.

Responsibilities

• Provide counselling to refugees and other persons of concern about their durable solutions needs
• Interview candidates for voluntary repatriation and prepare documentation for their return in line with SOPs
• Interview candidates for local integration and prepare documentation for onward submission to local authorities or partners
• Participate in identifying resettlement needs of refugees in line with SOPs
• Assist in updating the electronic database for resettlement, voluntary repatriation and local integration
• Process documentation to ensure persons of concern receive required documents timely
• Prepare statistical and ad-hoc reports to ensure accurate information is available and shared
• Interview and advise on appropriate durable solutions for persons of concern
• Enter information into available database in line with SOPs
• Support identification and management of risks and opportunities impacting objectives in area of responsibility
• Perform other related duties as required

Requirements

• 2-years relevant experience with High School Diploma; or 1 year relevant work experience with Bachelor or equivalent or higher
• Good computer skills, particularly in data management
• Experience in interviewing (desirable)
• Knowledge of English and Bahasa Indonesia (written and spoken)
• HCR Protection Induction Programme certificate
• Citizen of Indonesia; non-citizen with Indonesian permanent residence
