See your match score & applyThe Child Protection (CP) Case Management Worker provides high level technical expertise in the provision of timely and quality child protection case management, psychological First Aid / psychosocial support, ensuring a beneficial impact in the lives of at-risk children and youth as a result of Plan International Uganda's project. The role involves identifying, assessing, supporting and empowering vulnerable children and youth especially those who have been harmed, or who are at risk of harm.
Responsibilities
- Provide timely and quality child protection case management to vulnerable children and youth.
- Deliver psychological First Aid and psychosocial support to children and youth at risk.
- Identify, assess, support and empower children and youth who have been harmed or are at risk of harm.
- Work under the supervision of the CPiE Officer to implement child protection projects.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Contribute to creating a safe and inclusive environment for children and youth.
Requirements
- Experience in child protection case management and psychosocial support.
- Ability to provide psychological First Aid and psychosocial support to children and youth.
- Experience working with vulnerable children and youth, especially those at risk of harm.
- Understanding of child protection principles and practices.
- Commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment checks in line with Plan International's Safeguarding Children and Young People policy.
- Knowledge of the Inter Agency Misconduct Disclosure Scheme and commitment to safeguarding children and young people.
