Stock Warehouse Assistant - Kitting

As a Stock Warehouse Assistant in the kitting department, you will process supply totes used in blood product collection and stock the kitting area daily to ensure availability. The role involves assisting with receiving and shipment of totes, coordinating with volunteers, and operating warehouse equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the receiving and shipment of totes to supported sites.
• Assist and work with warehouse staff and cross-train staff to ensure department coverage.
• Coordinate with volunteer partners assisting in the kitting operation.
• Inspect, verify and report discrepancies or damaged materials against receiving documents.
• Store and stack materials according to prescribed methods.
• Fulfill daily customer orders, prepare transportation documents, and deliver materials and supplies to end users or departments.
• Operate Power Industrial Trucks such as electric pallet jacks and various forklift equipment.
• Assist with systemwide electronic computer inventory management system data entry, reporting functions, and electronic inventory reconciliation process.

Requirements

• High School or equivalent required.
• Up to one-year related experience preferred.
• Warehouse related experience or training required, preferably with an automated system.
• Basic reading, writing, communications, and math skills required.
• Knowledge of general office procedures and practices is preferred.
• Ability to work on a team.
• Physical ability to regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50lbs frequently; lift and/or move objects over 50 lbs with assistance or powered industrial truck.
• Ability to push carts weighing up to 250 pounds on flat flooring or ramps.
• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl frequently; occasionally sit and climb ladders or balance.
• Specific vision abilities required including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
