The CPIMS Officer is responsible for efficient and accurate information management of individual protection cases under the DRA-EJR project in Ziquala woreda, Ethiopia. The role includes managing case data in CPIMS+, providing technical support and training, coordinating with partners, and supporting monitoring and evaluation efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Manage case data in CPIMS+ accurately, securely, and timely, maintaining high data quality and compliance with data protection standards.
  • Provide technical support, system troubleshooting, and capacity building for staff through training and on-the-job guidance.
  • Strengthen coordination by mentoring staff, collaborating with partners, and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships.
  • Lead and support monitoring and evaluation efforts by ensuring reliable data availability, tracking system performance, and producing high-quality reports.

Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information System, Information Management, Statistics, Project Management, Data Science or other relevant fields.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Information management, Database management, and Data analysis.
  • Experience with managing child related data, more preferably CPIMS/CPIMS+.
  • Excellent understanding of data protection and information sharing protocols.
  • Very good conceptual understanding of the job.
  • Fluency in English/ verbal and written.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills including influencing, negotiation and coaching.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member and independently.
  • Understands and puts into practice the responsibilities under Safeguarding and GEI policies and Plan International’s Code of Conduct (CoC), ensuring that concerns are reported and managed per the appropriate procedures.
  • Ensures that all staff in the unit/function/department are properly inducted on and understand their role in upholding Plan International’s safeguarding and GEI policies.
  • Ensures that Plan International’s global policies for Safeguarding Children and Program Participants and Gender Equality and Inclusion are fully embedded in day-to-day work.
  • Ensures that Plan Ethiopia contributes to Plan International’s global efforts to ensure safeguarding and GEI, including making sure that relevant reporting and data are submitted.
