Unpaid Internship - Cybersecurity for development Internship

The internship supports the Women in Cyber programme, assisting with project management, training development, communications, data collection and analysis, and preparation of reports and presentations. The intern will work under supervision to help implement initiatives aimed at empowering women in cybersecurity.

Responsibilities

• Provide general support and project management to the Project lead.
• Support the implementation of Her CyberTracks project, notably with the development and delivery of trainings, career development materials, and organization of networking meetings and related events.
• Support the coordination, communication for the mentors and mentees of Her CyberTracks.
• Support the communications function by drafting news-pieces, testimonials, presentations and updating/editing of event collateral.
• Maintenance and editing of online program and events (collect bios, profile photos, sponsor's logos, company profiles, quality checks, etc.).
• Contribute to data collection and analysis on trends related to women in cybersecurity, including participation, skills development, and career pathways, to inform project design and impact assessment, as well as other related initiatives.
• Contribute to background research and support the design and development of new activities and initiatives under the Women in Cyber programme.
• Support the preparation of analytical briefs, reports, and presentations for internal use and external partners, synthesizing insights for ongoing Women in Cyber project and activities.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from, a bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as International Relations, Political Science, Development Studies, or a related discipline.
• No work experience required.
• Advanced level of English.
• Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, follow timelines, and support the delivery of events and project activities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team environment and coordinate with a range of stakeholders.
• Client and Service Orientation.
• Excellent research and analytical skills: Ability to conduct background research, synthesize information, and contribute to data collection and analysis related to women in cybersecurity trends.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office Tools.
• Be under 30 years of age (Exceptions may be considered for candidates pursuing a Ph.D.).
• Be currently enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate, or post-graduate programme, or be a recent graduate (within six months prior to the start of the internship).
• Be a citizen of a Member State of ITU.
