See your match score & applyThe Telecommunication Development Bureau (BDT) of ITU is seeking consultants for its ICT Data and Analytics Division to support activities including collecting, verifying, and analyzing telecommunication/ICT statistics. Consultants will contribute to data collection, research, analysis, and training workshops to support ITU's mission to connect the world through information and communication technologies.
Responsibilities
- Collect telecommunication/ICT statistics.
- Conduct desk research on telecommunication/ICT.
- Verify data collected by other consultants and IDA staff.
- Exchange with, and validate statistics provided by Member States.
- Collect information from various sources, including company reports and trade associations.
- Input/Retrieve data and metadata into/from IDA database.
- Analyze telecommunication/ICT data and write short analysis.
- Compute estimates and provide detailed documentation.
- Intervene in training workshops and information sessions.
Requirements
- University degree in statistics, economics, engineering, international relations, or business OR an equivalent level of education and specialization in a field relevant to the post.
- At least three (3) years of research experience in collecting, processing and analyzing statistics.
- Experience at the international level and in the field of telecommunication/ICT statistics would be an advantage.
- Knowledge of English at advanced level.
- Knowledge of one or more UN languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish) would be an advantage.
