See your match score & applyThe Senior Project Manager is responsible for ensuring the standard community feedback and information platform is operational and effective, adapting and responding to Myanmar’s changing needs over time. The role includes managing case management workflows, system quality assurance, capacity strengthening, data analysis, and reporting, with functional reporting to the Program Coordinator and oversight from stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the management of all cases through all steps adhered to the IASC standards, including intake, review, referral, coordination and resolution.
- Support staff to manage the case management workflow with IASC standards.
- Manage referral accountability to the stakeholders as per the SOP and standards.
- Provide technical support on case management for concerned stakeholders and employees in the team.
- Ensure the platform’s technology components are operational and well-functioning, including complaint and feedback mechanisms, and data analysis/visualization software, in coordination with key units.
- Ensure the information database, and findings are up to date and well-functioning, including business objects, user/team lists, workflows, standard messaging and response tools, in coordination with concerned stakeholders.
- Ensure community awareness efforts to raise awareness and accessibility of the platform, in coordination with concerned stakeholders.
- Identify capacity gaps and training needs for the staff and stakeholders related to the function and relevant thematic areas to ensure staff has adequate capacities.
- Develop training tools and resources and conduct capacity building for new and existing employees and stakeholders on topics relevant to functionality, working closely with relevant stakeholders.
- Develop and conduct regular and ad hoc analysis processes and report the analysis to identify and flag key risks, trends, and opportunities for programmatic adaptation, working with the concerned stakeholders.
- Develop, manage, update UCM-related analysis and visualization tools.
- Provide overall leadership, supervision and guidance to the subordinates, such as the Content Development Manager and Information Management Manager, to ensure high-quality performance and timely delivery of outputs.
- Oversee the day-to-day implementation of team workplans, monitor progress against the project’s objectives, and provide regular coaching, mentoring and performance feedback.
- Foster collaboration across team members, promote effective communication, and ensure efficient coordination with other stakeholders.
- Support staff capacity development by identifying learning needs and facilitating training opportunities.
- Manage the project budget to ensure efficient utilization of the approved budget and compliance with IRC’s policies and donor compliance.
- Prepare the spending plan, monitor expenditure against approved budgets, and provide regular financial analysis and variance reports to the Program Coordinator.
- Ensure all activities are implemented within the approved budgets.
- Perform any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
- BA/BS in Journalism, Communications, social work or any field in the humanities is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of project management, knowledge management, analytical skills and experience required.
- Research experience strongly desired and experience in managing projects strongly desired.
- Excellent communication skills, a clear and friendly attitude, and the ability to follow instructions and innovations.
- Demonstrated attention to detail, solid IT and research skills (including working on multiple platforms simultaneously), problem-solving skills, ability to work under pressure and multi-task in a professional manner while meeting targets in a high-pressure environment.
- Excellent time management and language skills preferably more choices in local dialect.
- Demonstrated team management and performance management skills, as well as information management skills.
- Demonstrate the ability to solve problems, coordinate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, manage data, manage difficult employees and/or situations, remain calm in a crisis and represent in meetings.
- English: Professional working proficiency (both written and verbal communication)
- Burmese: Proficiency (both written and verbal communication)
- Proficiency in other ethnic languages is preferable.
