Provide administrative, accounting, and financial support to projects executed within the emergency response framework, ensuring compliance with local and international organizational policies. Support financial validation and management processes related to implementing partners, as well as technical assistance and operational support required by the country office.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative, accounting, and financial support to projects executed within the emergency response framework, ensuring compliance with local and international organizational policies.
  • Support validation and financial management processes related to implementing partners, as well as technical assistance and operational support required by the country office.
  • Record and process daily entries to ensure proper registration of project transactions within the emergency framework, according to local regulations and organizational policies.
  • Responsible for preparing financial documents necessary for organizational requirements.
  • Support validation and documentary verification processes of implementing partners, according to organizational guidelines and policies.
  • Control advances to suppliers, employees, and implementing partners of the operation.
  • Provide technical assistance for internal organizational processes related to advance requests, legalization, and reimbursement of expenses to employees and implementing partners.
  • Financial analysis of project accounting accounts within the emergency framework.
  • Support financial and treasury activities as needed by the area.
  • Support efficient and effective functioning of the country office administration according to organizational standards, including correspondence, presentation, and reception.
  • Provide assistance and administrative support services to program and operations staff as required.
  • Maintain updated filing system of the country operation.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Senior Finance Officer.
  • Perform occupational health and safety duties as per contract and organizational policies, including reporting hazardous conditions, proper use and maintenance of personal protective equipment, participation in health and safety training and committees, and adherence to safety standards.

Requirements

  • Technical or Higher University Technician in accounting and/or student of Public Accounting.
  • 6 months of experience in accounting management or financial administration.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Initiative to propose new ideas, creative thinking and analysis.
  • Good judgment and ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks in a constantly changing environment.
  • High level of commitment to organizational values and humanitarian principles.
  • Desirable experience or knowledge in managing humanitarian aid or emergency response projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as a general ability to be clear and concise in all communications.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; proven ability to prioritize and deliver on time.
  • Strong analytical skills to solve problems.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a dynamic, global, multifunctional team structure.
  • Highly competent in the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to manage and work through change proactively and positively.
