See your match score & applyThe Tamil Nadu State Coordinator (Consultant) will provide robust field support and serve as the focal point for monitoring and evaluation related to the implementation of migrant worker resource centres in Tamil Nadu. The role includes oversight and quality assurance of activities by the implementing partner, conducting field visits, data collection, evaluation, and coordination with stakeholders to ensure smooth project implementation.
Responsibilities
- Work and engage migrant workers and the targeted communities on the project.
- Support the establishment and operations of the Mobile Worker Resource Center(s).
- Serve as the primary liaison between IOM and the Implementing Partner (IP), managing all communication to ensure smooth project implementation.
- Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks to assess project effectiveness.
- Prepare regular evaluation reports, project updates, briefing materials and provide insights for continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular field visits to oversee service delivery and gather feedback.
- Coordinate logistics for field activities, ensuring resources are effectively allocated.
- Address any operational issues that arise in the field promptly.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including community leaders and partners.
- Assist in planning and executing projects related to service delivery.
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Maintain accurate records of activities, communications, and evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to enhance service delivery.
- Strengthen and diversify the outreach and impact of the project in the targeted areas, using local experience and knowledge.
- Create and maintain spreadsheets to track key metrics and performance indicators.
- Develop data visualizations to communicate findings effectively.
- Perform such other duties as may be assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in the field of Social Sciences, Law, Sustainability or a related field from an accredited academic institution with at least THREE years of relevant professional experience; or High school diploma in the above fields with SIX years of relevant professional experience.
- Proven experience in monitoring and evaluation.
- Solid understanding of management principles.
- Handled NGO team for program implementation.
- Experience in assessing monitoring improvement plan status and progress from labour and human rights assessments.
- Experience in drafting regular status and progress report.
- Experience working with Government counterparts, UN agencies, corporates & industries and/or non-governmental organizations is considered an asset.
