SharePoint Development Assistant

The SharePoint Development Assistant supports the development, customization, maintenance, and support of SharePoint Online solutions to meet business and user requirements under supervision. The role involves working with SharePoint Framework, React, TypeScript, and related technologies to enhance SharePoint-integrated applications and provide technical support.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the development, customization, and maintenance of SharePoint Online solutions using SharePoint Framework (SPFx), React, TypeScript, SharePoint REST APIs, PnP, and Microsoft Graph APIs.
• Assisting in the development and enhancement of SharePoint-integrated web applications and services using C#, ASP.NET MVC, .NET, SQL Server, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Supporting the configuration and maintenance of SharePoint Online sites, libraries, lists, content types, metadata, and permissions.
• Troubleshooting technical issues and assisting with application maintenance and performance improvements.
• Assisting with data migration and content migration activities within SharePoint Online.
• Participating in system testing, quality assurance, deployment, and documentation activities.
• Providing technical support and user assistance for SharePoint-based solutions.
• Assisting with user training and preparation of technical and user documentation.

Requirements

• A minimum of six years' experience in developing solutions for SharePoint Online using SharePoint Framework (SPFx) is essential.
• A minimum of two years of experience in developing SharePoint-integrated web applications and services using C#, ASP.NET MVC, .NET, SQL Server, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS is desirable.
• A minimum of two years of experience in working in a small, fast-moving teams with a high level of individual responsibility and familiarity with software development processes is essential.
• Secondary education to university entrance standard is essential.
• A relevant qualification in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related information technology discipline will be an advantage.
• Proficiency in SharePoint Framework (SPFx), React, and TypeScript.
• Experience with SharePoint REST APIs, Microsoft Graph APIs, and PnP PowerShell.
• Knowledge of C#, ASP.NET MVC, .NET, SQL Server, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), software testing, and source control.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in English is essential, both written and spoken.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical users.
• Demonstrate independence, initiative, and effective coordination within multicultural and international environments.
