See your match score & applyThe Team Leader manages a highly technical team responsible for building and maintaining complex software products supporting the Department of Safeguards. The role involves leading software engineering, application security, and software architecture decisions to ensure solutions support long-term business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Play a critical role in ensuring the development and delivery of complex software products that enable the operational effectiveness of the Department of Safeguards.
- Lead a team of software developers acting as technical leads for the development and delivery of the Department’s software products.
- Ensure the collaborative and timely delivery of solutions following agile software development practices.
- Ensure that ICT products adhere to application security, architecture, usability and divisional process standards.
- Drive the Divisional Enterprise Architecture Group, reviewing, and maintaining the enterprise's architecture to ensure that technology implementation aligns with overarching business goals and strategy.
- Coach, mentor, and guide the staff in the team; ensure appropriate skills and competencies through recruitment; assess and develop team skills and capabilities; promote teamwork and collaboration; and define and measure performance criteria.
- Lead and/or collaborate with others on the maintenance and improvement of the secure software development, systems engineering, continuous deployment, continuous testing, and continuous integration processes in the Department and measure the outcomes.
Requirements
- Master's Degree - Advanced university degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or a related field.
- Bachelor's Degree - University degree in a stipulated field with two years of additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of an advanced degree.
- Minimum of ten years of relevant experience in ICT with increasing responsibilities, including at least two years of experience in managing and coaching staff in a multicultural environment.
- Experience in designing, and leading the implementation of large service-based architectures and full stack development using frameworks such as .Net Core, Angular and Relational databases.
- Responsibility for overseeing the technical maintenance of a portfolio of applications, ensuring operational excellence; and knowledge of application performance management tools such as AppDynamics.
- Experience in establishing or contributing to enterprise architecture practices with a focus on secure software architecture.
- Experience with application security in a highly confidential environment.
- Internationally recognized Information or IT Security Certification such CISSP, CISM, CISA or GIAC an asset.
- Experience in driving innovation within a team and leading innovation exercises, such as events storming, rapid prototyping and hackathons.
- Excellent oral and written command of English. Knowledge of other official IAEA languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish) is an asset.
