See your match score & applyThe Analyst contributes to all phases of the project cycle including origination, structuring, execution, implementation and monitoring of infrastructure projects across Caucasus. The role involves financial, market, integrity and policy compliance due diligence, financial modelling, and supporting project teams under guidance of senior bankers.
Responsibilities
- Contribute as a project team member to all aspects of project structuring and execution including research, analysis of background materials, market information and financial performance data.
- Analyse and evaluate potential risks related to proposed projects including financial statement analysis, preparing and updating financial models and projections.
- Assist with designing and processing technical co-operation assistance including preparation of terms of reference and internal approval documentation.
- Assist with communication with internal units, clients and stakeholders including preparing draft correspondence and presentations.
- Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks to high quality and in line with Bank policies and objectives.
- Undertake assigned tasks related to implementation and monitoring of projects including compliance with project agreements, disbursement, progress monitoring, financial performance assessment, risk factor assessment and covenant compliance.
- Prepare draft monitoring reports with recommendations for corrective actions and ensure these are brought to attention of senior team members.
- Assist with implementation and monitoring of TC assignments including communication with TC clients, monitoring fund usage, and preparation of progress and completion reports to support donor reporting requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics, finance or other relevant disciplines.
- Master’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in the areas of expertise.
- Professional qualification such as ACA, CFA, ACCA, or CIMA desirable.
- Quantitative/numerical skills with ability to interpret financial information and design/use financial models.
- Credit analysis skills including interpretation of accounts and understanding of local and international accounting principles.
- Computer literacy, conversant with Microsoft Office and spreadsheet packages including financial analysis and modelling modules.
- Good understanding of relevant systems and processes.
- Ability to work effectively as a team member and to deadlines and under time pressure.
- Multi-tasking skills and excellent time management skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
- Good command over the local/country language is an advantage.
- Relevant financial industry experience from an investment or commercial bank, private equity firm, asset management firm, or auditing/financial consulting firm operating to international standards.
- Exposure to industry/country experience.
- Exposure to infrastructure is desirable, including understanding of sector specifics and regulation.
- Experience in working in the Caucasus.
