The Chargé ECREC is part of the DRC Chad ECREC team based in Iriba, working closely with Programmes and MEAL teams. The role focuses on strengthening and developing economic recovery and food security activities in intervention villages, ensuring safe programming principles and community engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in implementing activities according to the established schedule under the supervision of the Team Leader ECREC.
  • Define beneficiary selection mechanisms in consultation with the Team Leader, aligned with project requirements.
  • Ensure all ECREC activities respect safe programming principles.
  • Develop and maintain good relations and constant communication with local authorities and communities.
  • Support MEAL team in establishing targeting and complaint committees during distributions.
  • Raise community awareness on project objectives and feedback mechanisms.
  • Plan and organize periodic awareness sessions for beneficiaries on topics such as cash use, food basket, hygiene, and nutrition best practices.
  • Prepare distribution activities involving stakeholders, ensuring inclusive complaint committees.
  • Contribute to post-distribution monitoring surveys with MEAL department.
  • Plan and organize monthly market price data collection.
  • Contribute to market analysis and reporting.
  • Design themes and sensitize beneficiaries on AGR, CFW and AVEC.
  • Participate in needs identification, AGR selection and business plan development.
  • Contribute to development or update of training modules on AGR and other ECREC topics.
  • Prepare documentation and organize beneficiary training.
  • Monitor and supervise CFW, AGR and AVEC beneficiaries.
  • Maintain protection and social cohesion centrality in all ECREC activities.
  • Ensure activities are conflict, gender and social cohesion sensitive.
  • Refer protection risk cases to protection teams during ECREC activities.
  • Identify good practices and lessons learned to share with Team Leader and Project Manager.
  • Participate in weekly meetings with project team members.
  • Collaborate closely with protection and social cohesion teams for referrals and protection-sensitive implementation.
  • Maintain good collaboration with local authorities and humanitarian actors on project sites.
  • Provide all activity reports and documentation related to ECREC implementation.
  • Prepare attendance lists, terms of reference, distribution reports with Team Leader support.
  • Collect data and contribute to market analysis reports.
  • Submit weekly activity reports to Team Leader.
  • Contribute to monthly activity reports and project studies.
  • Archive program documentation physically and digitally on project SharePoint.
  • Collect testimonials and document success stories.
  • Manage material and financial resources for department activities and provide timely supporting documents.
  • Comply with all administrative, HR, finance and logistics procedures and DRC Code of Conduct and internal regulations.
  • Apply zero tolerance on sexual exploitation, abuse, fraud, corruption and sexual harassment.
  • Respect and enforce DRC and donor procedures.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to respond to supervisor instructions for service needs.
  • Perform other tasks as requested by hierarchy within responsibility scope.
  • Coordinate with other technical departments for better response and resource use.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years experience in the same position or in emergency and/or development projects.
  • Experience in community-based targeting is a considerable asset.
  • Experience in developing business plans for income-generating activities (AGR).
  • Experience in training on simplified accounting.
  • Experience in Cash For Work, AVEC and Cash Transfer activities is a considerable asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proficiency in mobile technology for data collection (Kobo Collect, Activity Info, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Wadi Fira province, especially Iriba and surrounding villages, is an asset.
  • Minimum Bac+2 in agronomy, social sciences, economics, project management, international development or other relevant fields.
  • Any other relevant professional training will be considered an asset.
