See your match score & applyThe Chargé.e psychologue will implement psychological and psychosocial care activities within DRC Burkina Faso programs, providing individual and group psychological support, organizing psychosocial activities, and coordinating with other actors to support displaced persons and survivors of gender-based violence.
Responsibilities
- Provide psychological first aid as needed
- Provide individual and group psychological care including TSR protocol groups
- Follow up with persons received in collaboration with other actors
- Refer persons to appropriate services
- Organize group psychosocial activities for survivors of gender-based violence and persons at risk
- Organize socio-recreational activities adapted to local context and beneficiary needs
- Organize and facilitate training for community resources and committees on psychological first aid and stress management
- Evaluate well-being of persons followed
- Support capacity building of humanitarian protection teams on psychosocial support
- Respect confidentiality and information management principles of DRC
- Prepare weekly activity reports for protection manager within deadlines
- Fill activity follow-up forms and database for each activity implemented
- Document success stories related to care provided
Requirements
- Bac +4 in psychology or higher, preferably clinical psychology
- At least 2 years of proven professional experience in psychological care for survivors of gender-based violence
- At least 1 year of proven professional experience in psychological care for internally displaced persons
- Experience organizing and conducting psychosocial activities for survivors and persons at risk of gender-based violence
- Ability to analyze and synthesize cases
- Good mastery of psychological examination tools
- Good knowledge of brief therapies
- Willingness to travel regularly to sensitive areas
- Excellent knowledge of the humanitarian context in Burkina Faso
- Coordination and communication skills
- Experience working in an international NGO, preferably humanitarian, is an advantage
- Sensitivity to culture and context (emergency and humanitarian)
- Possession of a motorcycle driving license
- Ideally trained in the use of the TSR protocol
- Computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Good mastery of spoken and written French
- Good mastery of Moore, Dioula, Fulfulde languages
