See your match score & applyThe Business Operations Coordinator III, Fleet supports the Northwest Region by supervising the daily operation of American Red Cross vehicles used in Biomedical and Humanitarian Services programs. Responsibilities include overseeing vehicle maintenance, supervising volunteers, managing driver authorizations, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates fleet activity in regard to maintenance and repair.
- Approves and ensures repairs are completed according to standard process and organizational policy.
- Ensures timely payment to vendors and maintains vendor relationships.
- Ensures all vehicle documentation (registration, insurance, etc) is current.
- Obtains proposals for potential new vendors.
- Acts as primary liaison with other sectors for shared vehicles/assets.
- Analyzes risk management system with current values/status.
- Provides direction and training to volunteers for administrative transactions.
- Evaluates volunteer performance and plans work schedules.
- Acts as primary liaison for staff seeking Authorized Driver status, confirming criteria and providing credentials and instruction.
- Performs regular assessments of authorized driver records.
- Assists with investigation into collision and fraud incidents related to vehicles.
- Provides and analyzes data for developing Business Plans for fleet transactions.
Requirements
- High School or equivalent required.
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Business or Public Administration preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of financial or facilities business operations/administrative experience in community organizations, government agencies, non-profit, business or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
- Experience working effectively with volunteers and board members preferred.
- Ability to plan, prioritize and organize work to maximize team performance and meet customer expectations.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work with attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to create and maintain collaborative work relationships within the organization and with external stakeholders.
- Proficient with MS Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws.
- Ability to work on a team.
- Travel is required throughout the Region with some travel outside of Region.
