The Senior Project Assistant provides operational support for Türkiye's technical and operational activities, including programming, data management, and reporting. The role involves coordinating with project teams, government authorities, and development partners to support portfolio management and project readiness.

Responsibilities

  • Provide operational support for TURM International Staff for leading Country Management Team (CMT) to discuss strategic directions of the country operations and for programming further cooperation.
  • Compile and manage data on pipeline projects, coordinate with CMT members for inputs and scheduling, prepare draft minutes of discussion for each CMT, maintain a list of pipeline projects in good order.
  • Coordinate with project teams to ensure project readiness requirements for pipeline projects and compile and maintain information up to date.
  • Compile, maintain, and monitor data and statistics on the country's portfolio, coordinating with project teams on contract awards, disbursements, financial management, safeguards, and output achievement.
  • Provide analytical and operational support for preparing annual portfolio report, quarterly portfolio performance review meetings report, tripartite portfolio review meetings, and country portfolio review meeting.
  • Coordinate with government authorities and agencies, development partners and other partners, and ADB HQ to support and facilitate programming and portfolio matters.
  • Monitor the implementation and registration status on Client Portal for Disbursement (CPD) System, coordinating and giving guidance to project teams.
  • Provide substantial inputs for recruiting consultants through Consultant Management System (including draft Terms of Reference and draft evaluation report), and manage contracts including amendments, payment, cancellation, among others.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned and reflected in your workplan.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, technology, finance, accounting, business administration, any other social science or related fields.
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in data management, data analysis, monitoring, and preparation of reports, statistics, dashboards, or management information.
  • Preferably with related experience in international agencies.
  • Experience working with government partners an advantage.
  • Proficiency in standard software programs and information technologies such as in MS Office Suite.
  • Good understanding of the role and responsibilities of the office and a good general understanding of ADB's purpose and operations in Türkiye.
  • Proficiency in written and verbal communications skills in English and Turkish.
